Changes to the Game
Finally, all of Division I NCAA football has decided to evolve with technology and incorporate instant replays into the game of play. Just as the instant replay has drastically improved NFL football, so to will it improve NCAA football by helping to avoid a bad call. In addition, the Football Rules Committee has agreed to start the game clock as soon as the ball is kicked (instead of waiting until the receiving team touches the ball) and as soon as the official marks the ball for play (as opposed to waiting for it to be hiked). This is expected to add a lot of time to the game and, hence, affect more plays. With NCAA football right around the corner, it’s time to break out your gear and enjoy some good football.
